Living The Life As A Con Man on "Lone Star" #kloutperks
A couple weeks ago, I was invited to participate in a new Klout perk offered by FOX studios. To help hype up one of their biggest shows of the season, they reached out to Klout, the social media influencer metric (http://www.klout.com), to help find people who might be interested. Several days ago, I received my copy of their show "Lone Star" and just watched it...it wasn't that bad...pretty good actually.
I should say that FOX wanted people to have viewing parties to get their bang for their buck, and the package they sent clearly made that point come across. Besides the DVD of the pilot episode, they send a rather large tin of popcorn...massive enough for at least 5 people...and they sent beverage mugs...for your beer, soda, etc. All of this was to really make sure you had everything to make it an enjoyable experience...oh, and there was also a poster too.
So the series premiere is tonight and I watched it last night...and if you don't know the premise, it's basically about a con man who is trying to live two lives while trying to turn his life around and live a good life...but his con man dad is also in his life. You can probably predict the ups and downs of this show already.
Overall, I'd say that "Lone Star" is a pretty good series. There's something about it that is typical FOX that is interesting...it has a feel to it like you'd expect with other dramas like "Prison Break" which was a pretty good success so could that be a sign for the show?
The premiere is tonight...will you be watching? This might become my favorite new show on Mondays.
In full disclosure, I did receive a review copy thanks to Klout, but have not been instructed, ordered or asked to write anything positive or negative about this product. As always, these words are my own. I was not compensated for this post or anything I say about this product.
